comedy tonight?
This cartoon was floating around the local touring arts office, and with a little modification and a nod to my former employers I present it for your entertainment. Perhaps a little ill-timed in the face of Brian McMasters big Arts axe, you could maybe play a little game; guess which company is more likely to have its funding removed? (grateful thanks to the anonymous artist).

On a lighter note, I'm off to Paris, to provide lighting services for a certain boy band. It's a one off gig for the senior management of a noted german based motor manufacturer. They will have a ten minute meeting, to justify the whole junket as a business expense, then it's party time. As the band alone is costing £500K, I shudder to think what the rest of the bill will be. I suppose in a way, this kind of self-indulgence subsidises the arts, but it still sticks in my throat a bit.
